Job Overview
We are seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join their Harrogate based site. The successful candidate will report directly into the Operations Director and will form a key part of the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of health, safety and environmental policies across the site.
- Oversee and manage risk assessments, incident investigations and audits to ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legislation and industry standards.
- Lead and nurture a culture of safety within the department, promoting a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Implement training programs to educate staff about safety procedures and best practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
- Report on HSE performance to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry, with a strong track record of driving health and safety initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the business.
- Experience working to ISO18001 and ISO14001, with a deep understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of £45,000- £55,000 DOE, depending on experience.
