Children's Services Supervisor
The Children's Services Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the management and enhancement of services aimed at children and families. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders within a multi-agency framework to effectively implement the Service Improvement Plan that aligns with the overarching Council Business Plan and Corporate Strategy.
As the primary leader for a comprehensive range of professional responsibilities, the Supervisor will partner with senior management to oversee and direct a diverse team dedicated to delivering essential children's social care services, including both statutory and specialized practices.
These services are crucial for safeguarding and improving the welfare of the most at-risk children and young individuals within a designated area of need, ensuring that their rights and well-being are prioritized.
Specifically, the Supervisor is responsible for administering statutory and specialized social work services that address complex and urgent needs as identified by the safeguarding partnership.
Qualifications required include a Master's degree or BA/BSc in Social Work, or a Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, or CSS, or any other professional social work qualification recognized by the relevant regulatory body for registration as a social work practitioner in the UK.
Additionally, candidates should possess a Higher Specialist Award or equivalent, or demonstrate the capability to obtain such qualifications, along with evidence of continuous professional development in leadership.
This role necessitates an enhanced criminal record disclosure check to ensure the safety and integrity of service delivery.
