About the Role:

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at our residential service in Norris Green, Liverpool. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household chores
  • Encourage individuals to access their local communities, socialize, and participate in activities
  • Teach new life skills and promote independence
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting, preferably with individuals with complex needs
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a composed approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
