About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join our team at OCS, a leading facilities management company. As a Fire Sprinkler System Designer, you will be responsible for providing fire sprinkler system designs, including hydraulic calculations, building codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Principles: Develop fire sprinkler system designs that meet local, national, and international fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  2. Design Projects: Collaborate with key stakeholders to create fire sprinkler system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
  3. AutoCAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to create detailed installation design, coordination, and as-fitted plans and layouts for fire sprinkler systems.
  4. Code Compliance: Ensure designs comply with local, national, and international fire codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire sprinkler designs into overall construction and renovation projects.
  6. Site Visits: Participate in site visits to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments to design plans.
  7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of design projects, revisions, and changes, ensuring all necessary documentation is up to date.
  8. Continued Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in fire protection technology, and changes in relevant regulations through ongoing training and professional development.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in fire sprinkler industry designing commercial sprinkler systems, hold relevant LPCB qualification, and be expert in AutoCad use. You will also need to be PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft, hold a valid CSCS card, and have a full driving license. Strong commercial awareness is also essential.
