Position Overview:
We are seeking candidates for a full-time, fixed-term position within our esteemed Nuclear Medicine department, offering a commitment of 40 hours per week.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the diagnostic and therapeutic services of the department.
- Provide day-to-day medical coverage for the Nuclear Medicine service, including advanced imaging modalities such as PET/CT, PETMR, and SPECTCT.
- Perform and oversee a variety of imaging procedures, ensuring high clinical standards and prioritizing patient care for optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including senior professionals, radiographers, technologists, and nursing staff, to maintain an efficient Nuclear Medicine service.
- Document patients' medical histories and clinical data accurately in the Radiology Information System.
- Engage with all technical and clinical aspects of Nuclear Medicine diagnostics and therapies.
- Conduct pre-treatment risk assessments and administer radionuclide therapies under supervision.
- Report on general nuclear medicine studies, bone densitometry, and PET/CT examinations, initially under supervision.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, presenting cases under guidance.
- Contribute to audit and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Educational supervisor.
