We are seeking a skilled SIEM/Splunk Architect to collaborate with our esteemed Central government clients. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the execution or management of both tactical and strategic enhancements to the SIEM infrastructure and its related components.

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess Active SC clearance and a robust background in SIEM/Splunk Architecture, demonstrating the following skills and experiences:

  • Expertise in SIEM Engineering and Architecture, particularly with Splunk SaaS.
  • Comprehensive experience throughout the delivery lifecycle for system enhancements.
  • Proven leadership experience in Splunk SaaS as an architect or engineer.
  • Experience in identifying enhancements within Cyber departments, especially regarding SIEM improvements in Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) functions, aimed at elevating SIEM Maturity Levels.
  • Familiarity with the lifecycle of SIEM delivery, including integration from other SIEM platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and promote a shared responsibility model to enhance collaboration among directorates for log data submission to the CSOC.
  • Simplify engineering complexities and implement automation features within the log management system.
  • Standardize collection tier components across various environments, potentially utilizing an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach.
  • Advance the maturity of Splunk ES advanced data models.
  • Enhance the alignment of Splunk ES use cases with the MITRE framework.
  • Prioritize and classify use cases using a unified Risk Based Alerting (RBA) methodology.
  • Implement strategic SIEM enhancements, including broader utilization of SOAR for common analyst tasks and improvements in data enrichment practices to provide context for incident response investigations.
  • Ensure quality assurance to enhance the onboarding process and facilitate knowledge transfer.
