Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, prepare, and deliver captivating biology and PE lessons tailored for students in key stages 3 and 4.
2. Develop and implement curricula that align with educational standards while inspiring a passion for biology, PE, and broader scientific subjects.
3. Employ diverse teaching strategies and instructional materials to cater to various learning preferences in biology and PE.
4. Assess and monitor student progress in biology, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
5. Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and the wider educational community to enrich the learning experience.
6. Engage in professional development opportunities to remain updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
7. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other essential documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Physical Education, or a related field.
2. Teaching certification or relevant qualifications and experience.
3. Proven experience in teaching biology at key stages 3 and 4.
4. Strong grasp of biology and PE concepts with the ability to communicate them effectively.
5. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
6. A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the success and development of students.
7. Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
8. Experience in alternative provisions is advantageous.
