About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Community Rehabilitation team in Taunton. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals by providing goal-directed rehabilitation services within their homes and local communities.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, utilizing advanced clinical reasoning skills to determine achievable treatment goals and develop personalized care plans.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Assistants/Practitioners, and Pharmacy Technicians, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Prioritize and manage a caseload of patients with complex rehabilitation needs, working closely with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals involved in their care.
- Provide clinical supervision to Band 3/4/5 staff members and students, fostering professional development and growth within the team.
- Actively participate in service development initiatives and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our Community Rehabilitation services.
About You
You will possess a Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration, and evidence of continued professional development. A strong commitment to person-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly are essential for success in this role.
