- Ensure resources are available and deployed to deliver activity and finance targets.
- Develop and implement plans for service developments in line with Trust and Commissioner requirements.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team, Service Manager, and Matrons to ensure effective resource utilization.
- Attain financial, activity, and waiting time targets.
- Lead and deliver service improvement or modernization initiatives.
- Manage, monitor, and control budgets.
- Build effective working relationships with clinical teams and stakeholders.
The Haematology Directorate is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on improving patient experience and clinical care. The team is committed to delivering high-quality services and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of patients and staff.
Requirements- A degree in a business or management subject or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Relevant professional knowledge acquired through degree-level study.
- Extensive managerial experience in an acute hospital-based clinical service.
- Experience of managing an acute medical or clinical service to deliver 18-week and cancer activity targets.
- Staff management experience, including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment, and disciplinary issues.
- Experience of leading and delivering service improvement or modernization initiatives.
- Experience of managing, monitoring, and controlling budgets.
- Ability to negotiate and influence staff at all levels of seniority.
- Ability to access, analyze, and translate complex data and information to facilitate service improvement.
