Main Responsibilities

As a Specialty Doctor at LYPFT, you will enjoy:

  • A tailored Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training program

  • Participation in weekly educational meetings alongside Consultants and trainees, facilitating networking with Psychiatrists across the Trust

  • Support for MRCPsych exam preparation and Section 12 approval if necessary
  • Membership in a peer group and the SAS committee
  • Two protected Supporting Professional Activities (SPA) sessions each week

Revalidation and appraisal processes are well established, and all Specialty Doctors are expected to engage actively in the annual medical appraisal.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent with GMC registration
  • Recent clinical experience within the last year, including four years of full-time work as a doctor, with two years in psychiatry
