About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mould Development Technician to join our team at Willcox Matthews Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection moulding machines and tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out mould tool changes across the organisation
  • Provide training to technicians on mould tool setting and operation
  • Troubleshoot tooling and machinery defects
  • Drive the OEE system via SMED and ensure continuous improvement
  • Facilitate plant servicing and repair as required
  • Develop and implement process improvements for tooling projects
  • Support engineers in project work, running and reporting trials
  • Produce tooling reports and work with toolmakers to resolve issues
  • Attend tool trials off-site at sub-contractors and toolmakers
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in injection moulding and mould tool setting. You will have a minimum RJG Master Mould 1 certification or equivalent and experience of setting up new processes for cold runner and hot runner tools.

You will also have knowledge of manufacturing to BS EN ISO 9001 and cGMP standards, as well as awareness of BS EN ISO 14644 clean room requirements. Additionally, you will have experience of Good Manufacturing Practice GMP and pharmaceutical qualification understanding.
