About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Crooton. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in managing the Medicines Management Service at HMP Swaleside.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operation of the Medicines Management Service, ensuring efficient and effective medication administration.
  • Coordinate the printing and distribution of repeat prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Monitor the performance of Medicines Optimization Technicians and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with annual appraisals of Pharmacy Technicians and Assistant team members, providing guidance and support for career development.
  • Mentor and train Medicines Optimization staff, utilizing your expertise to ensure high-quality performance.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Accredited Checking Technician Certificate.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a pharmacy environment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ A1 Assessors Award.
  • ACT Facilitator certification.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in prison or hospital pharmacy.
  • 2 years of experience in mental health.
  • Management experience.
