Accounts/Audit Senior Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a minimum of 4 years' experience in an accountancy practice. The ideal candidate will have some audit experience and be either qualified or a finalist (with study support available) or qualified by experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Annual accounts and corporation tax preparation (to completion)
  • Involvement in audits
  • VAT returns
  • Company Secretarial (Annual Statements, changes, documentation)
  • Knowledge of current accounting packages
  • Knowledge of IRIS (not essential if alternative)
  • Knowledge of VAT
  • Knowledge of Payroll
  • Experience of salary/dividend planning
  • Knowledge of Income Tax Returns
  • Assisting clients on management accounts/bookkeeping/reviews
  • Experience of non-company accounts
  • Charity accounts experience - not essential but bonus
  • HMRC/ROC filing experience

You must be well organised with strong written and verbal communication skills, an eye for detail and a proactive approach to work. You should have a good understanding of client relationships and be able to show initiative when required. In addition, you will need to have access to a car and reside in commuting distance.
