About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist to join our dedicated team at University Hospital Hairmyres. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, offering pharmaceutical expertise, and ensuring safe and effective medication management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to specific patient groups within the acute setting.
  • Participate actively in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expert pharmaceutical advice and support.
  • Develop and implement medication management plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational programs for pharmacy staff, students, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay abreast of current clinical guidelines and best practices in pharmacy care.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters of Pharmacy Degree
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Demonstrated experience in providing clinical pharmacy services to a defined patient group, preferably within an acute care environment.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
