Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Right People. As a key member of our Finance Department, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Director in managing the provision of financial services, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the UK Finance department, adopting best practices in human resources management and ensuring the department's objectives, goals, and expectations are communicated effectively.
  • Ensure department staff are motivated, professional, and engaged, with adequate training, competence, and sufficient cover for short or long-term absences.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports, including management accounts, department accounts, channel and margin analysis, and other reports.
  • Champion sustainable cash management within the Group, ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented.
  • Manage cash position, update projections, approve payments, and manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions.
  • Regularly consult with managers and directors to assist with the interpretation of results, explain variances, and lead to enhanced business performance.
  • Provide guidance on costs, cost drivers, cash management, and ensure awareness of the full cost of products and services provided.
  • Meet with other departments and branches to raise commercial awareness within the Group, supporting goals of profit and cash maximization.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in accounting (preferred)
Work Environment

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday in person.
