Exciting Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant

We are working with a Primary school in central Warrington to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support a Y5 pupil on a 1-1 basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting students with a personalised curriculum and will be able to build a relationship and help the student overcome any obstacles and barriers to learning. The pupil struggles to make relationships with other pupils, however, does relate well to adults, part of your role will be to assist the child overcome these barriers.

The role will begin as soon as possible, and you will be provided with an opportunity to look around the school and meet with the child before making the commitment. The working hours will be 8:30-3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and pay rates are subject to experience and qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalised 1:1 support to students, tailoring your approach to their unique needs.
  • Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences for the pupil you are supporting.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a holistic and effective support system.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN or working 1:1.
  • A genuine passion for providing learning support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Hold a Teaching Assistant Level 2 or equivalent qualification or 2 years classroom experience.
  • GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or above or functional skills level 2.
