Job Purpose and Background

With the successful launch of CDP's new digital disclosure platform and the expansion of our technological capabilities, ensuring we have robust and dependable security infrastructure and practices that protect the data of our disclosers, and wider ecosystem, is essential to CDP's long-term future.

We are now embarking on an effort to build a new in-house Cybersecurity team, including a Senior Security Engineer who will play a key role in contributing to and implementing the new global security roadmap, encompassing infrastructure, tooling, policies, procedures, certifications, and training. This is an exciting greenfield opportunity to contribute to shaping and developing a new Security function, leveraging the latest Azure technologies, with a vision of attaining ISO27001 certification in the near-future.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Internal IT Staff: Collaborate with internal IT staff to address security-related matters and reinforce key security principles.
  2. Cybersecurity Support for IT Infrastructure: Provide cybersecurity support for IT infrastructure, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.
  3. Security Analysis and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough security analysis and risk assessment, identifying potential vulnerabilities and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  4. Cybersecurity Planning and Compliance: Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity plans, policies, and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Internal and External Audits: Lead internal and external cybersecurity audits and penetration testing, identifying areas for improvement and implementing remediation strategies.
  6. Security Management and Administration: Manage and administer security solutions, including MFA, firewalls, web filtering, antivirus, and anti-malware software.
  7. Security Evaluation and Monitoring: Continuously evaluate new software and hardware for security vulnerabilities and risks, monitoring for intrusions and unusual activity, and investigating and responding to threats.
  8. Firewall Configuration and Management: Perform regular monitoring and configuration of internal and perimeter firewalls, ensuring secure access to our systems.
  9. Azure Security Management: Assist in the management and administration of Azure security, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Defender for Cloud.
  10. Security Catalogue Implementation: Assist in the implementation, deployment, management, and monitoring of CDP's security catalogue, including Azure Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Defender, and Azure Defender for Cloud, AppCheck, Azure Security, Microsoft Intune, Forcepoint, and Cisco Meraki.
Requirements
  1. Relevant Working Experience: At least 2 years of relevant working experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on implementing across platforms, including security, performance, and reliability.
  2. Cloud Solutions Expertise: Excellent knowledge and experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  3. Infrastructure Knowledge: Good knowledge of core infrastructure, designing, engineering, and implementing across platforms, including Wintel, Linux, Storage, backups, IaaS, and PaaS.
  4. Cybersecurity SaaS Providers: Excellent knowledge of cybersecurity SaaS providers.
