About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at White Label Recruitment Ltd. As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and design innovative mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks software.
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for acoustic enclosures and models based on specifications and requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Prototyping and Testing
  • Develop prototypes of designed components and systems.
  • Conduct tests and simulations to validate designs and identify potential improvements.
  • Analyse test results and iterate on designs to enhance performance and reliability.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, progress reports, and technical documentation to stakeholders.
Project Management
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
Qualifications
  • Educational Requirements: HNC (Higher National Certificate) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field would be preferred.
  • Experience: Educated to HNC or similar in Mechanical Engineering, experience using a CAD software.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, effective communication and teamwork abilities, ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
