Assistant Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at TMR Group Ltd. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function and providing support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control
  • Prepare month-end reports and quarterly VAT returns
  • Process supplier accounts and perform account reconciliations
  • Manage finance and journal ledger, including prepayments, salaries, and cost code corrections
  • Maintain the asset register, recording and registering new assets and posting depreciation

Requirements

  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience working as an accounts assistant
  • Proficient use of Manu, Xero, and Office 365
  • Manufacturing background would be advantageous

What We Offer

  • 33 days annual leave, including 16 fixed days for the annual shutdown
  • Flexible working hours, with a 2pm finish on Fridays
