As a Clinical Coordinator, you will assist the Patient Services Coordinator in project work relating to the patient referral pathway, including clinics and appointments. You will also plan clinics with medical staff on a monthly and annual basis to ensure that the Regional Genetics Service makes full use of the allocated resources for outpatient facilities throughout the region.

Key responsibilities include taking a lead role in the coordination and monitoring of clinics, ensuring that clinic formats meet the changing needs of the service, and liaising with the Medical Records Team to ensure that patient records are available for all outpatient clinics.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have good interpersonal skills, the ability to work individually or as part of a team, and be flexible and reliable. You will also need to have keyboard/data entry skills, be organized and methodical, and have the ability to identify and solve problems.

In addition, you will need to have a GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent, and be willing to attend relevant training courses. Substantial administrative/clerical experience of working in an outpatient environment is also essential.
