About the Role

The University of Salford is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Officer to join our International and Regional Development Directorate. As an Admissions Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of international student applications and providing excellent customer service to our students and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and evaluate international student applications, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with academic colleagues to ensure accurate and efficient decision-making on student applications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues in academic and University services areas to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee the administration of international student applications, including data entry, document management, and reporting.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Valid DBS-check certificate for the whole period of engagement in regulated activity with under-18s or vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
