Job Title: HGV Technician - Workshop Specialist

Location: Manchester

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team as a Workshop Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of our HGV fleet, adhering to legal and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and transport them to the test center.
  • Record vehicle defects and maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle.
  • Repair minor accident damage.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and actively seek solutions to problems.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Work with various equipment, including vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • No more than 6 minor points on driving license (no CDLs, DDs, DRs, or INs).

Qualifications:

  • Commercial experience on HGVs is essential.
  • Must have a valid C+E license.
  • City & Guilds part 1 & 2 & 3/BTEC/IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
