Overview:
Alecto Recruitment is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. This role involves working with a reputable manufacturer in the construction and engineering sector, focusing on the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Equipment Technician, your primary duties will include:
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various heavy machinery, such as excavators, dump trucks, and rollers.
  • Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections to ensure equipment readiness for deployment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time spent.
  • Collaborating with the operations team to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring a clean and organized workshop environment, with all tools and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations as well as company policies.
  • Staying informed about the latest industry standards and advancements in heavy machinery.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
  • Relevant technical certification or qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Level 2/3 qualification in Heavy Plant.
