Job Title: Specialist Nanny/Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Specialist Nanny/Support Worker to join our team at NeuroSupport Services. As a Specialist Nanny/Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to a 9-year-old child with complex needs, including a quadruple amputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to the child, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the child's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with the child's multidisciplinary team, including therapists, healthcare professionals, and family members, to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Transport the child to therapy sessions, school, and other appointments as needed.
  • Engage the child in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development, such as horse riding, school pick-ups, and homework support.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience working in a support worker role or similar within the past 3 years.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Experience working with children with physical disabilities and complex needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
