Junior Sous Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Narrow Kitchen in Hackney Central. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of our all-day breakfast, brunch, and sandwich menu.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, open-plan kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a fresh food kitchen
  • Good level of English language skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team

What We Offer:

  • 35-50 hours per week with straight shifts
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13-£14
  • Immediate start available
