This position involves the efficient, safe, and effective planning, organization, and control of all resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 5:45am - 1:45pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory, conduct stock takes, and validate daily goods. Reconcile figures with production schedules and address variances as necessary.
  • Ensure that specifications and quality standards are consistently met in accordance with HACCP and other quality assurance protocols.
  • Monitor, communicate, and manage efficiencies, quality, and yields on a daily basis.
  • Analyze, communicate, and, where feasible, enhance team performance.
  • Facilitate appropriate interactions among all relevant departments.
  • Compile, account for, and report daily KPI information.
  • Manage the effective and economical use of materials and labor, ensuring alignment with production demands.
  • Oversee the welfare, training, and development of employees, including conducting personal reviews for existing team members at least once annually and weekly for new hires up to 13 weeks.
  • Monitor and address machine requirements, including planned preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and hygiene regulations and procedures. Lead by example, demonstrating safe practices and addressing unsafe behaviors.
  • Delegate job responsibilities to maximize flexibility and effective staff utilization, particularly for high-risk operations.
  • Monitor, communicate, and intervene as necessary to ensure a consistent flow of materials in the area at all times.
  • Facilitate effective end-of-shift communication between departments for both AM and PM shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in the food industry (preferred).
  • Previous experience in people management (preferred).
  • Proficient in computer use, including basic Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Results-driven with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs.
  • Confidence to communicate effectively at all levels, with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
