About the Role

The post holder will be joining a dynamic and innovative Care of Elderly Team at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multidisciplinary care provisions for all Care of the Elderly and frail patients who are admitted or referred to the hospital.

The post holder will work closely with consultant colleagues and the multi-professional team to ensure the well-being of all patients under their care.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Providing a clinical service, including the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illness within the Care of Elderly Team.
  • Working with consultant colleagues and the multi-professional team to ensure the well-being of all patients under their care.
  • Participating in a 1:21 on Call Rota.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualifications in medicine or a related field.
  • Experience in geriatric care or a related field.
  • Management skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
