We are seeking an experienced critical care nurse to join our team at the Churchill Intensive Care Unit, a nationally renowned centre for specialties such as cancer and haematology, maxillofacial surgery, and transplant services.
As a critical care nurse, you will provide holistic patient care, working collaboratively with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team to create patient-centred care packages.
Main Duties
- Provide high-quality patient care, underpinned by the values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement, and excellence.
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain and develop high standards of nursing care, reflecting professional nursing practice.
- Develop and maintain general and specialist knowledge of nursing practice relevant to the Churchill Intensive Care Unit.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner, demonstrating understanding and ability to perform the role of Unit Coordinator.
- Assist in the strategic planning of the AICU service, participating in unit initiatives and providing feedback.
- Provide leadership and supervision for junior team members and in the clinical area.
- Represent the Churchill Critical Care team at a local, national, and international level, as required.
