Housekeeper/Cook Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Housekeeper/Cook to join our Facilities team at East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

Working Pattern:

The successful candidate will work on a part-time basis, with two available roles:

  • Role 1: 4 days over 7 working days
  • Role 2: 5 days over 7 working days

Enhanced rates apply for weekend, evening, and bank holiday work:

  • Saturdays and evenings: +30%
  • Sundays and bank holidays: +60%
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with a small team to maintain a clean and infection-free environment in the hospice
  • Ensure a quick turnaround of bedrooms at the end of a stay
  • Wash, dry, and iron all laundry used in the hospice, including visiting families
  • Assist in the kitchen when required and on special occasions
  • Cover shifts when the cook is on annual leave or days off
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations
Requirements:
  • Housekeeping and catering experience
  • Team player with a positive attitude
