Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning: Teach ESOL students from pre-entry level to Level 2, and Functional Skills Entry level Maths.
- Classroom Environment: Create an inspirational learning environment with high expectations of learner achievement, success, and progression, respecting individual differences in culture and background.
- Parent Engagement: Engage with parents regarding the progress of learners, ensuring they are engaged and supportive in all aspects of our delivery.
- Relationship Building: Build effective and supporting relationships with learners, embedding trust and support within the education process.
- Lesson Planning: Ensure lessons are well-planned and enable learners to achieve and progress.
- Inclusive Learning: Be a role model for inclusive learning and the recognition and celebration of diversity.
- Outcomes: Ensure at least good outcomes for all pupils.
- Subject Development: Oversee and co-ordinate the development of your subject area.
- Schemes of Work: Plan, produce, and update schemes of work to meet curriculum, inspection, and accreditation requirements.
- Lesson Delivery: Prepare and deliver lessons/learning activities to individuals and groups of learners as required by the curriculum/timetable.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Implement and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating learning activities to ensure they are effective and worthwhile.
- Student Support: Maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping, and reporting of student's progress.
- Behaviour Management: Maintain good order and discipline among the students, safeguarding their wellbeing.
- Teamwork: Work as part of a team to ensure effective pastoral support for learners.
- A recognised teaching qualification is essential.
- A Degree in a related subject and Level 5 Teaching Qualification is desirable.
