About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Operations Manager to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels and marine equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Marine Operations Management
- Assist in the management of marine operations to ensure that oilandgas obligations for availability of expertise, equipment, and personnel are met at all times.
- Maximise the operational efficiency and effectiveness of marine operations and equipment in compliance with the oilandgas operating manual.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Assist in the coordination of training and development support to ensure that marine personnel meet oilandgas and national requirements with respect to certification and training.
- Maintain all crew records, including timesheets for payroll processing.
- Commercial Activities
- Assist and deputise for the Port Manager in commercial activities, including a broad understanding of the port's commercial situation and contracts.
- Other Duties
- Undertake other duties as required in line with local requirements.
Requirements
- 5 GCSE's including English and Maths or equivalent.
- Shore side marine experience required, particularly with regard to regulations and legislation, including knowledge of Manila amendments.
- Some shore commercial/managerial experience preferred.
- UK driving licence required.
Competencies
- Ability to set objectives and deliver results that have direct long-term impact.
- Ability to use MS Office as well as HMS, Sertica and other internal systems.
- Clear understanding of certification and document control with regards to vessel operations.
