The Position:

As the Corporate Legal Advisor for Deckers EMEA, you will be essential in shaping the legal landscape within a vibrant, fast-evolving multinational setting. Your primary responsibility will be to protect our organization by ensuring adherence to legal standards across all operational sectors, delivering strategic legal guidance, and nurturing a culture of proactive legal awareness. You will play a crucial role in assisting our European Legal Counsel, addressing a wide array of legal areas including corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation, and regulatory compliance, thereby directly influencing our strategic objectives and operational excellence.

Your Contributions:
  1. Oversee external European legal counsel on matters related to real estate, employment, competition law, and various commercial legal issues.
  2. Draft, structure, and negotiate international agreements concerning distribution, marketing, services, logistics, and more.
  3. Provide legal advice to business partners on matters related to employment, e-commerce, marketing, sales, property, IT, customer service, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Manage litigation processes, ensuring effective legal strategies and risk management.
  5. Maintain corporate governance and compliance standards while promoting ethical business practices.
  6. Integrate the legal team into Deckers' culture through training and regular engagement with business units.
  7. Enhance legal procedures and standard agreements to improve operational efficiency and risk management.

We Would Appreciate Hearing from Candidates Who:
  1. Are licensed to practice law and in good standing in the United Kingdom.
  2. Possess significant in-house post-qualification legal experience.
  3. Have extensive experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
  4. Are knowledgeable in corporate governance, including board meetings and shareholder resolutions.
  5. Can handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
