Senior Psychotherapist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Psychotherapist to join our Health and Wellbeing Team at A Wilderness Way Ltd. As a Senior Psychotherapist, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic support to our children and practitioner teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to team members, ensuring the highest standards of practice and care.
  • Develop and deliver therapeutic training to operational teams, incorporating current and relevant theory.
  • Support the development of A Wilderness Way therapeutic training, including researching and delivering training to operational teams.
  • Travel throughout Cumbria, Northumberland, and Durham to visit our children and care teams.
Requirements:
  • Substantial and recent experience of working directly with children in a psychotherapy and counselling capacity.
  • Line manager experience in a care environment, including recruitment, training, and knowledge to support the practice of our teams.
  • Excellent understanding of legislation and regulations surrounding residential childcare and safeguarding children.
  • Full, valid, UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
