Path Recruitment is collaborating with a leading Plant and Tool rental organization committed to delivering exceptional service support. We are currently in search of a qualified Access Equipment Technician to join their esteemed team, possessing experience in the maintenance and servicing of powered access machinery. You will be working with various equipment brands including JLG, Skyjack, Nifty Lift, and Genie.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, demonstrating strong maintenance and inspection skills in powered access equipment, along with a flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring a high standard of work at all times.

A CAP Licence or progress towards obtaining one is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities of The Access Equipment Technician

  • Servicing and repairing a wide range of powered access machinery, including specialized equipment such as Cherry Pickers, Scissor Lifts, Boom Lifts, and MEWPS on behalf of a major hire company.
  • Managing administrative duties and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and punctually.
  • Maintaining composure under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety standards as per company guidelines.

Essential Skills of The Access Equipment Technician

  • Experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems acquired in plant maintenance or powered access sectors.
  • Proficient in servicing, diagnosing, and repairing access platforms effectively.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Competency in diagnostics.
  • Possession of a CAP licence and IPAF certification is essential.
  • A valid Full Driving Licence.
  • NVQ in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent qualification.
