Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Accountable Recruitment. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the finance team, producing management accounts, and ensuring stakeholder reports are accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial tasks and projects.
- Produce a full set of Management Accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Review and authorise stakeholder reports, ensuring they are correct and meet the required standards.
- Cash flow control and management, ensuring the company's financial position is stable and secure.
- Work closely with the Finance and Underwriting teams to align and reconcile risk, ensuring the company's financial risks are minimised.
- Report key financial metrics to the Managing Director, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
- Develop and implement processes and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, ensuring the company remains compliant and up-to-date with all financial regulations.
- Ensure all lines of income are billed in a timely manner, ensuring the company receives payment for all services provided.
- Support other Managers with ad hoc projects, providing financial expertise and guidance as required.
- Develop a full process pack for all financial activities, ensuring the company meets the required standards for ISO accreditation.
Requirements:
- Professional accountancy qualification or QBE, with a strong background in financial management and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory framework, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Excellent technical skills in financial analysis, budgeting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve financial goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
