We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Eastwood Park, a female remand prison located in a rural area. The prison houses approximately 360 patients, all of whom are waiting to be sentenced.
This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work 3 x 12-hour shifts, including weekends and nights. The annual salary for this role is up to £49,770 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.
- Undertake medication rounds and dispense controlled medication.
- Attend emergency response situations and assess patients.
- Undertake reception screening and provide high-quality patient care.
- Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course.
- Competency framework and regional/national career development opportunities.
- Our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs.
- Support from the wider team and a collaborative working environment.
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Registered nurse (Adult) with current professional qualification (NMC).
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP, and national standards.
