Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems, critical components, and emerging technologies
  • Assist in product onboarding, inspection, and testing processes
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at various locations
  • Familiarize yourself with global standards and certifications relevant to Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Support documentation efforts related to product quality and issue resolution
  • Develop standardized document templates for the Battery Energy Storage Systems product line
  • Define and assist in testing and validating custom control solutions for energy storage systems
  • Mentor and train junior team members and trainers

As a Controls Engineer in the Battery Energy Storage Systems rental sector, you will play a crucial role in identifying optimal control solutions for our fleets, conducting proof of concept evaluations, and ensuring thorough documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Controls Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in CODESYS programming
  • Knowledge of control solutions for Battery Energy Storage Systems and generators, such as Deif, ComAP, and DeepSea
  • Understanding of power systems and inverter capabilities
  • Familiarity with applications of Battery Energy Storage Systems and generators
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls development, testing, and simulation within the rental industry
  • At least 3 years of experience with energy storage systems, renewables, and hybrid technologies, including product testing
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to inspire and support team members in their professional growth
