Apprentice Cost Estimator

Job Summary:
The Bodyshop Estimator will be responsible for accurately interpreting customer or internal instructions and completing estimates and associated documentation, in accordance with established quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine vehicles and produce estimates for repairs, liaise and negotiate with customers and insurance companies as required.
- Monitor estimate/conversion rate.
- Ensure that all necessary information is obtained and recorded, as required by documented procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner to present the best possible image to customers, in accordance with company policy.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and other dealership staff.
- Record any customer complaints or non-conformance of the quality system and implement appropriate corrective action, following documented procedures.
- Perform additional duties, within capabilities, when requested by management, including visiting customers and working outside normal hours.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records are essential.
