Financial Accountant

Additional Resources Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for preparing management accounts, leading budget and audit processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing financial insights.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be based in either Enniskillen or Troon and will be required to travel occasionally. You will work closely with our management team to ensure the financial health and stability of our company.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Complete HMRC returns, including VAT and plastic tax.
- Review and authorise bank payments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a fixed asset register and prepare and review audit schedules.
- Identify and implement financial reporting process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting.
- Work with tax advisors to identify and submit applications for RDEC projects.
- Liaise with tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Evaluate and support capital investment opportunities to drive business growth.
- Prepare financial projections and assist in developing financial models to inform business decisions.
- Monitor and report on financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of preparing comprehensive financial reports and experience with financial controls and compliance. You will also need to be willing to travel occasionally.
