Bookkeeper Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at Trial Balance Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day finance function of our client's production facility in Pool.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Xero software
  • Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including supplier payments, invoice posting, and account maintenance
  • Manage accounts receivable, including invoice runs and payment allocations
  • Monitor and manage the aged debt book, taking appropriate action where required
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Administer factoring accounts
  • Assist in other areas of finance as needed, including the production of cost analysis reports
  • Develop and implement system and process enhancements where required
  • Assist the Group Finance Director with year-end procedures

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of recently gained experience as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant, with a strong aptitude for digital accounting and general MS Office skills. Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
