Head of Information Governance and Cyber Security

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to drive the strategic development and transformation of our information governance and cyber security agenda at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive information governance and cyber assurance framework that aligns with national policy and best practice.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement the Trust's Information Governance and Cyber Security Strategy, incorporating information quality assurance, records management, data protection, and information/cyber security.
- Provide specialist knowledge and support to senior leaders and department heads on information governance and cyber security principles and processes.
- Act as the subject matter expert in data protection law and advise on data protection issues as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of mechanisms to monitor compliance against national IG & cyber standards and UK Data Protection laws.
- Represent the Trust at national information governance & cyber groups to determine, influence, and implement national and local policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Master's degree in a relevant field with specialized knowledge acquired through training and experience.
- ISEB Certificate in Information Risk Management and ISEB Certificate in Information Security Management Principles.
- Extensive experience in a senior Information Management role, specifically incorporating experience in information governance, cyber security, and data protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to carry out complex analysis and develop reports.
- Effective role model, demonstrating the Trust's PRIDE values of People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence.
