Job Summary:
We are seeking a Trainee Accounting Technician to join our team at Westcotts Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. As a Trainee Accounting Technician, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and continue your studies to fully qualify as an Accounting Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake both practical and theoretical training while continuing to study for your AAT qualification under an apprenticeship agreement.
- Prepare financial information, reports, and returns for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals.
- Use computer software to record financial transactions and prepare personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns, and bookkeeping services.
- Help in information gathering to analyze and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making, planning, and control.
Requirements:
- Completed AAT level 2, and partway through either level 3 or 4 of the AAT qualification.
- Previous experience working in a similar environment, preferably within an accountancy practice or finance team.
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new IT skills quickly.
