Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, ensuring the highest standards of financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the finance team to deliver key operational tasks in a timely fashion.
  • Issue monthly customer billing and ongoing supplier invoice management.
  • Oversee and maintain the security and integrity of the current finance system and processes.
  • Reporting on the latest financial performance.

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team to support decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and cash flow management.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide actionable insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead the preparation of financial models to support business initiatives and investment decisions.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, for statutory purposes in accordance with accounting standards and for internal management accounts reporting.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, and other relevant regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

  • Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise exposure.
  • Implement best practices in risk management, governance, and corporate financial policies.

Treasury & Funding:

  • Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and identify funding requirements.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of financing options, including debt financing, equity raises, and other financial instruments as needed.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, with several years of post-qualification experience in a senior financial leadership role.
  • Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing financial operations within a similar industry or sector.
