Fuel Recruitment Limited is in search of a meticulous and experienced Safety Management Engineer to develop and oversee Project-Oriented Safety Management Systems (POSMS) and Project-Oriented Environmental Management Systems (POEMS) for our Defence-related initiatives.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all safety and environmental documentation adheres to Defence standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage Safety Case Reports, POSMS, and POEMS documentation for Defence projects.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and safety experts, to collect essential information for documentation.
  • Perform safety and environmental evaluations to facilitate the development of POSMS and POEMS.
  • Ensure all safety and environmental documentation aligns with applicable Defence standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in safety and environmental audits and assessments.
  • Keep abreast of current Defence standards, regulations, and best practices related to safety and environmental management.
  • Offer guidance and support to project teams regarding safety and environmental management practices.
  • Oversee multiple documentation projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality benchmarks.
  • Review and revise existing safety and environmental documentation as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will be taken into account.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Safety Management Engineer, ideally within the Defence sector or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of POSMS and POEMS.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing relevant documentation tools and software.
  • Capability to interpret and apply complex regulations and standards to project documentation.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing superior documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with Defence standards and regulatory requirements for safety and environmental management.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental risk assessment methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software tools utilized for safety and environmental management documentation.
  • Comprehension of project management principles and practices.
