About the Role:

We are working with a large secondary school in need of a competent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role is on a long-term basis with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the classroom, ensuring correct behavior is maintained at all times.
  • Work with small groups and 1:1 interventions to support students' learning.
  • Cover classes in the absence of a class teacher.
  • Plan and run own interventions with specific groups of children.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or HLTA qualification.
  • 1 year's experience within an education setting.
  • Understanding of various SEN needs.
