Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at our Head Office in Longtown for a period of 9-12 months. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing our customer ledger, prioritizing your workload, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of incoming payments and timely communication with customers.
  • Prioritize your workload to meet individual and team monthly targets, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, branches nationwide, and external bodies to resolve queries and issues.
  • Make informed credit limit decisions for customers, following set company procedures and maintaining up-to-date customer credit limits.
  • Identify and troubleshoot day-to-day problems, ensuring the same issue does not recur in the future.
  • Maintain detailed records and follow set company procedures to notify and escalate potential bad debts.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control and customer operations processes.
  • Strong understanding of customer service operations and best practices.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business One system is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
