About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Acute Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and work closely with sector consultants, community mental health teams, and local authorities to ensure continuity of care and robust discharge planning.
- Be responsible for the care of individuals under the Mental Health Act and provide medical oversight of admissions and discharges.
- Work collaboratively with the Home Treatment Team to provide crisis resolution services and ensure timely communication and care planning.
- Supervise junior doctors and provide medical education and training to ensure the development of junior staff.
