Job Overview

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and validating new tooling and processes, developing existing equipment, and creating robust validation documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and validate new tooling and processes to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
  • Design and implement validation protocols (FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide regular progress reports and coordinate development and qualification batches.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source materials and equipment that meet quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss manufacturing details and present solutions.
  • Analyze problems using Six Sigma tools, trend analysis, and process risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and maintain all Manufacturing Design Documents to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety practices and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Formal Engineering Qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) with relevant mechanical tooling experience.
  • Knowledge of tool and equipment design, polymer welding technology, and process validation procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with knowledge of Minitab and SAP an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in machine and tooling design, and validation within the medical device or Bio-Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
