Job Title: Field Research Scientist

ADAS is a leading provider of research and advice on agricultural and environmental issues. With over 75 years of experience, we have a strong track record of delivering high-quality research and consultancy services to a wide range of clients.

As a Field Research Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering practical research in a range of agricultural and environmental disciplines. This will involve working on-site to conduct trials and implement applied research and knowledge exchange.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver research projects in pathology, physiology, entomology, soils and nutrients, and weeds.
  • Develop specialist technical expertise to deliver on-site trial work and implement applied research and knowledge exchange.
  • Work with clients and colleagues to ensure timely delivery of research projects.
  • Manage projects to ensure key objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Conduct field and laboratory work, including sampling, data collection and analysis.
Person Specification:
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work in a team.
  • No prior experience is required, as in-house and external training will be provided.
  • A full driving license to drive manual vehicles in the UK is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A progressive attitude with flexibility and willingness to take on a wide range of challenges.
