Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Game Designer to join our hybrid-casual team in Leamington Spa. As a Lead Game Designer, you will be responsible for working closely with our design team to create fun and engaging games for mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop game design documents, diagrams, and flowcharts for multiple mobile game projects.
  • Design compelling game mechanics using modern mobile design principles and create engaging game experiences for players.
  • Develop and balance game mechanics, game difficulty, and UI flow to ensure a high level of player engagement.
  • Create levels and additional content using Unity for new and existing games.
  • Evaluate and adapt game designs based on playtesting, feedback, and live metrics to drive long-term player engagement.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a game design role with at least one published relevant game.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the design team.
  • Knowledge of mobile free-to-play game monetization and advertising techniques to create engaging and profitable games.
  • Ability to work creatively in a demanding team environment and drive results-oriented game design.
  • Absolute passion for playing and making video games, especially mobile games.
  • Strong creative ideas and imagination to entertain players with challenges, humor, surprises, and fun.
  • Positive attitude, self-driven, and able to work alone or as part of a team.
